(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Monday adding 7.91 points (or 0.09%) to advance to 8,412.60 points from 8,404.69 Sunday.
The volume of the shares traded was up to 3,757,477 from 5,363,746 on Sunday and the value of shares increased to QR 157,136,142.11 from QR170,781,538.11 Sunday.
Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 0.22% to QR 138.30, Comm. Bank of Qatar rose 0.97 % to QR72.90, Al khalij Commercial Bank gained 1.18% to QR 17.10 and Nakilat up by 0.25% to QR15.80.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 4.72 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added by 31.92 points. The industrial sector was gained by 6.02 points while insurance sector lost 13.66 points.
