Oman- KR organises annual blood donation drive


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the Khimji Ramdas Group recently organised its annual blood donation drive at Al Falaj Hotel in association with the Central Blood Bank of Oman (CBO).

A total of 310 employees along with their families volunteered to donate blood for a cause.

Anil Khimji, director, Khimji Ramdas, expressed his gratitude to all the volunteers who took part in the voluntary blood donation camp in large numbers and applauded their ‘overwhelming support' towards this initiative.

''We recognise the importance of blood donation campaigns as it assures an adequate supply of blood, which is critical to saving lives. We also feel honoured to join the efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Health to enrich and ensure healthy living for all,'' he said.

Dr Anubhav Shankar, head of medical services, KR Clinic and Chandrakant Chothani, clinic administrator, supervised the voluntary blood donation programme.

Rajive Ahuja, head, corporate communications, Khimji Ramdas, said, ''Ramadan is all about sharing and giving with our brothers and sisters. Blood donation is one such opportunity to affirm our solidarity and support to the society at large. We are delighted to witness a large turnout for this year's blood donation drive.''
