(MENAFN Press) Tennis legend Boris Becker urges Games spectators to make the most of their visit to London, regretting the many times that he played tennis over the years without ever getting chance to properly explore the host cities.
Addressing a group of international journalists at a 'Sport is GREAT Britain' event organised by VisitBritain, Becker praised the London 2012 organisers for their "perfect" arrangements for the Games and said that the gold medal he won at the 1992 Barcelona games is one of his proudest achievements. "Even now sometimes parade it in front of my children to try to make them show their father some respect," he told the audience.
Boris lives in Wimbledon where he won his first Open Championship. He describes London as his "home away from home" and praised its multiculturalism and the fact that within just 25 minutes you can be out enjoying the peace and quiet of the open countryside. "My wife fell in love with London and so we couldn't live anywhere else," he said.
