Jordan- 16,282 register for elections on Saturday


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) 16,282 citizens registered to vote on Saturday, Independent Elections Commission (IEC) Spokesperson Hussein Bani Hani said. The total number of Jordanians who have registered for the upcoming elections has reached 39,269. Bani Hani said the Civil Status and Passports Department offices will be open to receive visitors after iftar from 9:00pm until midnight starting this Sunday, to allow people to register and pick up their voter identification cards. The IEC will open four additional centres for those who wish to register as of Sunday. The centres will be located in Al Hussein Youth City, King Abdullah Stadium in Qweismeh, Al Hassan Youth City in Irbid and Prince Mohammad City in Zarqa.
