Kuwait- Charred Remains Of Asian Found Inside Hassawi Carpentry Shop


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Fire erupted in a few carpentry workshops located in an area of 2,000 sqm in Hassawi on Friday evening. The remains of an unknown Asian expatriate was found inside one of the burnt-down workshops. Reportedly, after the Operations Room at the Fire Service Directorate received information about the huge fire accident in Hassawi, a number of firefighters from four fire centers rushed to the location and extinguished the fire within four hours, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses. During the operation, firefighters found the charred remains of an unknown Asian expatriate inside one of the workshops. Initial investigations revealed that these carpentries were operating illegally without the required license. Besides wood materials, several other inflammable materials were discovered inside the workshop. Officials from Criminal Evidence Department rushed to the location and referred the charred corpse to Forensics Department for autopsy. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. Drugs seized: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently for possession of drugs and special syringes for drug intake. Reportedly, special-duty patrol officers touring Sulaibiya suspected a citizen driving his American-made vehicle in a reckless manner and stopped him for investigations. When they checked the vehicle, they found a bag of heroin and special syringes for drug consumption. The suspect was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities with the illicit items for necessary legal action against him.
