(MENAFN) Qatar has agreed to resume several delayed projects in Yemen, after Yemeni President Abdrabbo Mansour Hadi paid a visit to Doha, local media reported.

Hadi recently paid an official visit to Qatar, where he met with the Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifah Al Thani.

Saba News Agency said that the Emir ordered to restart Qatari projects in Yemen including Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Taiz city and Al Ryan residential project in the capital Sana'a, as well as Hodeidah-Abyan road and the coastal round road in Aden city.

The Emir also vowed to support the Sana'a government, which had deteriorated due to the worsening political situation in Yemen, in addition to accusations that Qatar was financing rival factions, the Yemen Observer newspaper reported.
