(MENAFNEditorial) Tasjeel, a joint venture of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and the Government of Dubai, is partnering with Dubai Autism Centre during the Holy Month of Ramadan for a charitable initiative aimed at raising funds for a new treatment centre for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
As part of the 'Dirham Wa' Bas' campaign, ENOC Tasjeel, the UAE's first independent vehicle testing and registration complex, will donate AED 1 for every vehicle test made at their centres throughout the Holy Month.
Donation boxes are placed at various ENOC/EPPCO service stations and ENOC Tasjeel sites for the public to make contributions.
In addition, awareness posters about Autism are displayed at the convenience stores with staff also wearing Dubai Autism Center branded t-shirts.
"Following the success of the previous 'Dirham Wa'Bas' charity campaign, we are again extending our support to another important cause," said Taleb Al Saleh, Manager of ENOC Tasjeel.
"This year, we are supporting Dubai Autism Center to help children who are suffering from the chronic disorder.
This initiative underscores ENOC Tasjeel's corporate social responsibility commitment to society and we hope to make a difference in the lives of children with autism."
ENOC Tasjeel's past Ramadan collection drive, in partnership with Beit Al Khair Society, raised AED 100,000 to support orphans in the UAE.
ENOC has been a key partner in enhancing Autism awareness in the UAE. In April, on World Autism Day, ENOC announced that Autism awareness will be its largest CSR initiative.
Moreover, in a bid to offer motorists more convenience and flexibility during the Holy Month of Ramadan, ENOC Tasjeel has changed its working hours across all service centres in Dubai except those at JAFZA and Hatta, which will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The other centres are currently open from 9am to 3pm and from 9pm until midnight, from Saturday to Thursday.
