India Allows Foreign Direct Investment From Pakistan

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Indian government Wednesday announced it would allow foreign direct investment by a Pakistani citizen or company, overturning an earlier policy banning such investment. 'A citizen of Pakistan or an entity incorporated in Pakistan can invest, only under the government route, in sectors/activities other than defence, space and atomic energy,' a Commerce Ministry statement was quoted as saying by DPA. The decision would have immediate effect, it said.
