(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Ajman Police on Tuesday arrested four Asians for allegedly trafficking in marijuana and seized around 850 grams of the contraband.
The police received information about the activities of the suspects from an informant who said one of them was possessing the drug substances and was looking for buyer.An official with the Ajman Police said that after confirming the information, the police formed an investigation team which laid a trap to arrest the suspects red-handed.
The police sent a decoy who posed as a buyer and contacted the suspect for arranging time and place for handing over the drug. The suspect was arrested red-handed with 583 grams of marijuana in their possession before they handed it over to the decoy.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he got the drug supplied to him by other three Asians. All of them were arrested later, and one among them was possessing more than 266 grams of the drug. The total quantity of the drug found in the possession of the suspects is 849 grams and 28 milligrams, the official said. The police have referred all the suspects to the Public Prosecution.
