Jordan- Tourism, hospitality students complete training programme


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) "Passports to Success", a programme to hone the skills of Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) tourism and hospitality students, concluded its first round late last week, according to a statement issued on Saturday. Organised by the USAID-funded Youth: Work Jordan Programme, the USAID Jordan Tourism Development Project (Siyaha), the VTC and the British Council, the programme is aimed at improving students' career opportunities in the hospitality sector, according to the statement from Siyaha. A total of 78 students from the Sahab, Salt and Marka VTC institutes for hospitality and tourism took part in the 16-week programme, which prepares students to enter the job market, and develops their leadership and English language skills. Students also benefited from career guidance. "Passport to Success" will continue to include the eight other VTC institutes for hospitality and tourism in Jordan.
