(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The number of jobless in Spain increased by 53,500
people to a total of 5.7 million in the second quarter, placing the
unemployment rate at the record level of 24.6 per cent, figures
issued by the National Statistics Institute (INE) showed on Friday, dpa reported.
Among people younger than 25 years, the unemployment rate was 53
per cent.
Spain had 1.7 million households with all their members out of
work. That was 9,300 households more than in the first quarter.
