(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Bahrain is set to host the seventh edition of Petchem Arabia 2012, a major petrochemicals conference, from September 30 to October 2.
Petchem Arabia 2012, which is part of the Middle East Chemical Week, will feature ministerial and executive-level speakers from national and international oil companies, with the support of key ministries and associations.
The event, being organized by the World Refining Association will feature presentations, case studies, panel discussions and roundtables.
Bahrain's National Oil and Gas Authority adviser Larry Jaeger will be one of the main speakers. The event will conclude with industrial visits for all delegates to Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Bapco facilities.
The visits are supposed to highlight the development and planning for future growth at Bahrain's petrochemical companies. They will include interactive sessions with leading local experts. The global industry outlook, the impact of shale gas advances in the GCC and joint ventures are some of the key topics at the conference.
