Amman, July 2012 “ Jordan's national Olympic team flew out on Sunday, 22nd July, with key support staff for the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games on board easyJet, the Jordanian Olympic official carrier.

easyJet, the largest airline in the United Kingdom and the No. 1 air transport network in Europe, was chosen by the Jordanian Olympic Committee (JOC) last June as its exclusive airline carrier for the duration of the summer Olympic games. The announcement was made at the British Ambassador's Residence in the presence of HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the JOC, and HRH Prince Raad, President of the Jordan Paralympics Committee.

"easyJet is delighted to be the official carrier of the Jordan Olympic team which comprises extremely talented and capable athletes, and we wish them resounding success at the 2012 London Olympics," commented Hugh Aitken, easyJet UK & Middle East Manager. "Our partnership with the JOC reflects easyJet's commitment to Jordan. easyJet makes travel easy and affordable, and we are proud that the Jordan Olympic team chose our services. We are confident that the athletes to enjoy a relaxing flight prior to the start of the games."

easyJet's partnership with the JOC stems from the airline's reputation for affordable and friendly service, and the success of its London-Amman route which has carried 60,000 passengers in less than a year of operation. easyJet operates scheduled flights connecting from Amman to London Gatwick Airport three times per week throughout the year
