(MENAFN- Arab Times) An unidentified housemaid, who threatened to end her life by stabbing herself with a knife has been handed over to the Firdous Police Station, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said the maid was handed over to the police by her Kuwaiti sponsor after she shocked the family who were having breakfast.
She was carrying a knife in her hand and threatened to kill herself if anyone approached her.
The sponsor told police the woman lost self control after she received news from her home that her husband had married another woman and abandoned the children on the street.
A case of suicide attempt has been registered against her. She has also been handed over to the authorities to prepare her deportation.
