Kuwait- Not involved in 'fake visas' issue: envoy 

(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Kuwaiti Ambassador in Cairo Dr Rashed Al-Hamad has affirmed MP Saleh Ashour is a respected man and that he and his brother are not involved in any way in the issue of the so-called 'fake visas', reports Al-Rai daily.

The Kuwaiti envoy in Cairo stated these are mere false allegations to tarnish the image of the honorable men.

Meanwhile, the manager of the General Trading Company, Abdul Fattah Al-Sayed which is at the center of the issue has confirmed what has been said by the Kuwaiti envoy.

Al-Sayed also denied any links either to the two brothers or the demonstration organized by some Egyptians in front of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo.

He noted the demonstrators have not presented any documentary proof to prove their allegations. He also said the company has filed lawsuits against the demonstrators.

Earlier it was reported the demonstrators were accusing the two brothers and a female partner of deceiving them.

The reports had said 17 Egyptians, who were part of the demonstration were given authentic work permits in 2007. They came to Kuwait but refused to work and instead returned to their home country.

At that time Al-Sayed claimed those people could have resorted to the judiciary if they really had any claims.
