(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The United States is sending an aircraft carrier to the Middle East, the Pentagon said Monday.
Defense Department press secretary George Little told reporters that the USS John C. Stennis will be sent by late summer.
Currently, there are two aircraft carriers in the area.
'These measures are to assure that the carriers will constantly be present in the region,' he added.
