(MENAFNEditorial) Samsung Electronics Levant, the global leader in consumer electronics and an official partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, with its dealers and representatives in the Levant Region (Jordan, Palestine Lebanon, Syria and Iraq), celebrated the launch of London 2012 Olympic Games campaign.
Samsung Electronics Levant selected Mr. Sa'eed Bernesi, representative of BCI Holding Jordan and Palestine, Anotine Cherfan & Eddy Cherfan from CTC Lebanon and ASTRUM Syria, Mr. Wasfi Barazanji from Jibal Iraq and Mr. Bayad from Bayad Co – Iraq to join this celebration. The selected dealers represented the Levant markets with the unique performance in displaying the Samsung brand, in addition to their role in Corporate Social Rresponsibility programs in their respective countries.
Samsung distributors and Samsung Electronics representatives from various Levant countries took part in the three day activity which included carrying the official torch upon launching London Olympics 2012 in York, in addition to sightseeing tours, chocolate show and an official dinner held by Samsung for this special occasion.

During 2011, Samsung launched a six-month global search for torchbearers who had demonstrated ongoing efforts to improve the lives of others. Nominations were received from 58 countries around the world, and every torch bearer has been carefully selected for their unique contribution to local communities and their demonstration of the Olympic spirit.
Samsung has selected a number of globally recognized torch bearers who are known for their continuous inspiration to others and will carry the Olympic Flame around the UK during its 70-day relay.The array of celebrity torchbearers includes the nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist John Legend, British TV star Jamie Oliver, Ivory Coast and Chelsea FC footballer Didier Drogba, Vladimir Tolstoy and David Beckham the global brand ambassador of Samsung Electronics.
Samsung will bring the excitement in towns and villages across the UK throughout Samsung Caravan along with 20-minutes of stage performance during evening celebrations, offering inspiring opportunities for everyone to experience and take part in the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The interactive and specially designed caravan has a built in LED screen built on the side to feature the Olympic Torch Relay as well as the avatars of the participants for Samsung Hope Relay, a virtual Olympic Torch Relay that allows everyone to take part.
