(MENAFN- Arab Times) Customs officers at the Abdali border post recently foiled an attempt by an unidentified Iraqi man to smuggle out of the country 22 kilos of hashish, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the drugs were hidden in a secret compartment of his car.
The sources disclosed the Iraqi arrived at the border exit and as is customary the officer searched the car and found nothing. However, when the officers felt the man looked nervous, they re-inspected his car and found the drugs neatly hidden under the car.
The drugs and the suspect have been referred to the concerned authorities.
