(MENAFN) Boeing stated that it received an order for 150 737s from United Continental Holdings, Inc., reported Xinhua News.
The airplane maker said that Chicago-based United will acquire the planes, to be delivered between 2013 and 2022, in a contract valued at USD14.7 billion in list prices.
The deal includes 100 Boeing 737 MAX 9 and 50 Next Generation 737-900 Extended Range models.
United said that it plans to replace older planes with new and fuel-efficient aircraft.
It is worth noting that the MAX lessens fuel burn and CO2 emissions by 13 percent, according to Boeing.
