Boeing receives order for 150 737s from United Continental


(MENAFN) Boeing stated that it received an order for 150 737s from United Continental Holdings, Inc., reported Xinhua News. The airplane maker said that Chicago-based United will acquire the planes, to be delivered between 2013 and 2022, in a contract valued at USD14.7 billion in list prices. The deal includes 100 Boeing 737 MAX 9 and 50 Next Generation 737-900 Extended Range models. United said that it plans to replace older planes with new and fuel-efficient aircraft. It is worth noting that the MAX lessens fuel burn and CO2 emissions by 13 percent, according to Boeing.
