France's June CPI flat


(MENAFN) French national statistic bureau Insee announced that the country's consumer price index (CPI) was unchanged last month, reported Xinhua News. The CPI, a main measure of inflation, dipped 0.1 percent in May; however, it slowed to 1.9 percent in June on a yearly basis. In the month, service prices, including transportation and tourism, went up by 0.3 percent, while food prices rose by 0.4 percent. Moreover, costs of manufactured goods were up 0.1 percent, with clothing and shoes prices growing by 0.6 percent. It is worth noting that the increases in services, food and manufactured goods prices were offset by a 2.1-percent drop in energy costs.
