Thai Bangchak Petroleum to import 100m liters of oil products

(MENAFN) Thailand's Bangchak Petroleum's Pcl President, Anusorn Sangnimnuan, announced that the company plans to purchase around 100 million liters of oil products on a monthly basis, reported Reuters. Sangnimnuan said that the decision was made following last week's fire that damaged an 80,000 barrel per day (bpd) distillation unit. He added that oil imports will start this week to offset the shortfall, with the refiner taking 3 months to reconstruct part of the damaged distillation unit. It is worth noting that after the fire, Bangchak closed its 120,000 bpd plant for 1 week.
