Data shows many Kuwaiti Bedouns are Iraqis


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Iraqi officials have provided data regarding several Iraqis who claim to be Kuwaiti Bedouns, which clarifies that the security restrictions imposed on them are appropriate, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting a source from the Central System for Remedying Status of Illegal Residents. The source revealed that the documents presented about the concerned individuals are original and cannot be contested, adding that any documents to the contrary will be considered as fake. Meanwhile, the Human Rights Fundamentals Society has demanded for the quick resolution of the Bedoun issues by establishing and following a proper plan with steps that can guarantee quick and successful solution. The society urged the government to grant approximately 30,000 Bedouns citizenship as they were confirmed to be genuine Bedouns and deserve to attain citizenship. It pointed out that granting the deserving Bedouns citizenship will relieve them and give them the assurance that the government is serious about them and their issues without adding onto the long delay that was stretched out over the past several years.
