UAE- Dh200m projects approved


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of President's Initiatives has given the final approval for a number of development projects in various emirates at a total cost of Dh200 million. The committee held a meeting at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi to review the projects, which are implemented as per the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The projects visualised for the welfare of the citizens is followed up by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The committee approved the award of projects which included supplementary works at the Rashid Abdullah Omran Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah at a cost of over Dh118 million and the construction of the Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Marine Research Centre in Umm Al Quwain at a cost of Dh73 million. The committee also awarded the works of increasing the capacity of Owais Dam in Fujairah at a cost of Dh16 million.
