UAE- Bigger, better IAS in 2012 

(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) The 11th International Automobile Show, or IAS, is scheduled to be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from November 28 to December 1, with organisers busy putting together a bigger and better event.

Following the success of the last IAS in 2010, a range of new models will be unveiled at the show.

Alongside the IAS, the third successive edition of the Middle East Car of the Year and Middle East Motor Awards 2012 ceremony will be held.

Being the biggest and the most coveted new cars award in the region, all the latest car models currently available in the Middle East and North Africa market are vying to win the titles of being the best cars in their respective categories.

A plethora of newly-introduced models will be seen competing head-to-head, such as the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider against the McLaren MP4-12c, the Hyundai Veloster taking on the new and tech-packed Ford Focus, and the all-new Porsche 911 Carerra Sagainst Bentley's refined Continental GT that got a new V8 heart.

In the SUV segment, the Audi Q3 will be eyeing the top spot against the Range Rover Evoque. Also at the show will be Chrysler's Jeep Cherokee SRT8 against the all-new Mercedes ML 63 AMG.
