Etihad Airways' Q2 revenue, passenger up

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways reported a 31 percent increase in quarterly revenues, helped by an increase in passenger traffic, Arabian Business reported. The Abu Dhabi flag carrier said that it gained USD1.25 billion revenue in the second quarter compared to a year earlier, as passengers increased by 34 percent to 2.55 million. Growing network codeshares and strategic partnerships Etihad made drove the growth in passenger traffic on board of Etihad's fleet as well as its revenue, the airline said. Recent deals added around 800,000 passengers to its network, contributing USD281 million, Etihad added.
