UAE- Two held for selling illegal phone cards


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Sharjah Police on Sunday arrested two Asians including a watchman allegedly for selling illegal phone cards which enable international calls for ten hours and above. The police said it was against the communication law in the country. According to a police source, the suspects told the police during the interrogation that they received the details of the phone cards through emails from someone who based in a foreign country.The police were notified about the activities by a police informer. After confirming the information, the police identified the location of the suspects. The Police raided the place of the watchman and found large number of the phone cards in his possession. The watchman told the police that he received the cards from a Pakistani national who sold them for Dh22.
