Clap Foods makes foray into Saudi supermarkets


(MENAFN) Clap Foods, a Brazil-based halal food manufacturer, disclosed plans to supply a range of products to Saudi Arabia, Arabian Business reported. Maricota brand products will make a foray into the Saudi supermarkets, after Clap inks contracts to supply 300 tonnes of frozen products to Al Othaim Markets. Al Othaim Markets is a major chain that operates in retail, wholesale and distribution of foods across the Kingdom. Clap will supply a range of products including cheese bread, pizzas, lasagne, kibbehs, chicken cakes, cheese biscuits and pancakes. The company, which won halal certification for 37 products last year, said it is also in negotiations to sign deals with companies in the UAE and Lebanon.
