UAE- Riverbed unveils enhancement of Stingray ADC

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Now, web application and cloud optimisation is being made as easy as plug and play. Over the past 10 years, the average web page has grown over four times. The growth has resulted in an increase in the complexity of pages, resulting in a slow experience. The US-based Internet application provider Riverbed launched enhancements to its software and virtual application delivery controller (ADC) product family, Stingray in Dubai on June 19. The Stingray Traffic Manager 9.0, the industry's only ADC allows users to jump between cloud providers as needed, resulting in increased performance results with a 55 per cent reduction in page load times and 50 per cent less data onto the network. The benefit of Stingray 9.0 is that enterprises and cloud operators can run in any physical, virtual or cloud environment. Also, end-users can access web applications up to four times faster while using up to 30 per cent less bandwidth. "Stingray in it original form launched at the end of last year. This product is very important because most ADC products are hardware based. And it has become a norm in recent times, as more and more data centers are now being virtualised", said Paul Sherry, Regional Director Middle East, Riverbed. Sherry predicts for the product to do very well here in the UAE. "It's a good time for a product like this in the. We are setting up ourselves for the future, we are in good shape to grow", said Sherry. The Stingray traffic manager can focus on strategic projects by off loading work such as testing for every mobile platform, resizing images and script load times.
