(MENAFN- Jordan Times) The Ministry of Labour on Wednesday ended an open-ended strike carried out by workers at the Qatraneh Cement Factory in Karak Governorate, 140km south of the capital, after eight days.
The workers, who erected a tent in front of the factory's main gate, were protesting against their "low salaries" and lack of health insurance.
The ministry said it would supervise negotiations between the employees and management to settle the dispute within one week.
