Qatar Airways adds new African rout on its network


(MENAFN) Qatar Airways plans to launch flights to Mozambique starting in October 31, the fourth African destination launched this year, as it seeks to strengthen its foothold in underserved markets, Arabian business reported. The carrier will launch three weekly flights from Doha to Mozambique's capital city of Maputo via Johannesburg, operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft, becoming its 20th African destination. The carrier recently launched daily scheduled services from its Doha hub to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda in east Africa. Qatar Airways will start daily operations to Kilimanjaro, the second Tanzanian destination on July 25, followed the launch of daily flights to Mombasa, its second gateway in Kenya on August 15.
