Austria's OMV sells British North Sea assets


(MENAFN) Austria's OMV AG announced that it sold some assets in British North Sea as it aims to concentrate on the UK's West of Shetlands area, reported Reuters. The energy firm added that it acquired a 17-percent stake in the Tobermory and Bunnehaven discoveries from Statoil in return for a 30-percent stake in Mariner East. Moreover, the company has sold a 5-percent stake in the Beryl Area fields for USD118 million, and has agreed to sell a 13.6-percent stake in licenses P.090A and P.631 to Bridge Energy. It is worth noting that OMV has also sold 1.5 percent of the Boa field for USD18 million, to Bridge Energy (SNS) Ltd.
