(MENAFN- Jordan Times) The Irbid Electricity Company on Sunday cut off the power supply to 10 municipalities in Mafraq Governorate, 80km northeast of the capital, over around JD500,000 in unpaid dues. Company Spokesperson Hisham Hijazi said the municipalities had not paid their electricity bills since March, noting that the company has addressed Minister of Municipal Affairs Mahir Abul Samin to urge them to pay their debts. He noted that the company has regular financial obligations to the National Electric Power Company and cannot afford to ignore unpaid bills.
