Atlas Travel flies high to create new milestone
(MENAFN - Arab News) Atlas Travel, one of the oldest and most prominent travel agencies in the Eastern Province, recently celebrated its 36th anniversary at the Dhahran International Hotel.

Chief Executive Officer Abdul Hamid Bager, General Manager Hameeduddin Ahmed and the entire Atlas Travel team, including Sales Manager K. M.

Ahmed and Finance Manager Mohammed Nafees, played perfect hosts to the who's who of airline industry in the Eastern Province at the event.

Among the prominent guests were managers and representatives of all the top airlines including Saudi Arabian Airlines, Gulf Air, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Air India, Sri Lankan Airlines, Jet Airway, Air Arabia and Oman Air.

Hameeduddin Ahmed, the key architect of the travel firm's phenomenal success, recalled his 35-year association with Atlas Travel.

"While we are celebrating our 36th anniversary, let me state with humility and pride that I have been at Atlas for 35 years having joined it in 1977. Two years later I got married. It is pretty hard for me to describe which or who is my first love," he said amid laughter.

He showered fulsome praise on the CEO and his late father Mohamed A. H. Bager.

"CEO Abdul Hamid Bager is an ever-smiling person; he is a true gentleman; without his rock-solid support and constant guidance we would not have reached where we have reached today. We created history and notched new milestones to become a top travel management company thanks to his support and the hard work and dedication of the entire team at Atlas," he said.

Ahmed said the late Mohamed A. H. Bager was the one who established the company.

"It was his vision that led to the creation of this firm and after his demise his son, Abdul Hamid, took up the challenge and led the company to success," he added
