(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Mexico later this month is expected to feature â€Å"overwhelming consensusâ€‌ on the need to spark global economic growth, which is threatened by the euro-zone crisis, a top White House official said Tuesday.
There are an overwhelming consensus that the focus is on growth, the need for growth, [and] the risks to growth around the world,â€‌ said Michael Froman, a senior aide to President Barack Obama.
The euro-zone crisis is the most significant threat to growth, but we see slowing growth in the developing economies,â€‌ Froman said at a panel at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) think tank in Washington.
