Fiery computer virus attacks UAE, Saudi

(MENAFN) The sophisticated computer virus, named the 'Flame' has been attacking computers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, reported The National. The fiery computer virus can spy on PC files, which has triggered security concerns for various energy firms in the region. Eleven Saudi computers, two in the UAE, two in Qatar, and one in Bahrain have been infected so far with the 'Flame'. A senior security researcher at the Russian Kaspersky lab that discovered the virus said that the malware is created to act as a virtual espionage virus that can spy on the infected user's every move. Kapaersky security researchers say that whoever designed the virus went the distance to protect their identity. The Russian lab has so far helped shut down some 80 computers servers that have been releasing the 'Flame', but they still warn against variations of the malware.
