Ford studying indigenous Chinese brands for market

(MENAFN) Ford is currently studying indigenous Chinese brands, and they are also in talks with their partners to introduce those brands in China. Simultaneously, Ford is building up their brand name in the most populated country's auto market, reported Reuters. Several foreign auto makers have teamed up with local Chinese businesses to comply with Chinese government regulations that allow foreign car makers to build vehicles in China. Ford is now looking to join the global car producers in order to manufacture cars in China. Ford, the Japanese Mazda Corp. and Changan automobile are all tied in the market for sedans in China. The chairman and CEO of Ford China, David Schoch said: "We always are in discussions with our joint venture partners. All I can tell you is we are studying indigenous brands, but our total focus in terms of brand enhancement is really on the Ford brand."
