Scottish Water, MWH Global to manage Qatar's drainage system


(MENAFN) Qatar's public works authority (Ashghal) awarded Scottish Water a multi-million dollar contract to manage the Gulf nation's drainage system as it prepares for the 2022 Fifa World Cup, Arabian Business reported. Scottish Water is acting as a sub-contractor to US-headquartered consulting, engineering and construction services company MWH Global, which has been appointed by Ashghal, as management contractor for the Gulf emirate's drainage asset management programme. MWH Global is a strategic consulting, technical engineering and construction services firm with 7,500 employees in 35 countries. MWH and Scottish Water will cooperate in managing, maintaining all drainage assets including the wastewater treatment and collection systems, treated sewage effluent systems, stormwater and surface groundwater systems.
