Saudi Binladen wins 2 contracts for Makkah road projects


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia firmed two contracts with Binladen Group to construct new roads, bridges and tunnels in Makkah, Saudi Gazette reported. The Saudi construction group has been given 36 months to execute the contracts, valued at USD507 million. The first contract comprises the completion of the remaining parts of the city's second ring road including extending new bridges in different districts within the city at the cost of USD1.2 billion and the compensation for 1038 demolished properties at USD2.13 billion. The second contract focuses on the third phase of the third ring road in the holy city including the construction of new bridges and tunnels, at the cost of USD399.9 million, while the compensation for 830 demolished properties is set at USD853.17 million.
