Pay over KD 250 to Kuwaiti employees


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Companies benefiting from government tenders are mandated to ensure the salaries of Kuwaitis are not less than KD 250 and insurance is not deducted from their salaries, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting Secretary General of the Government and Manpower Restructuring Program (GMRP) Fawzi Al-Madjali as saying. Al-Madjali added the companies are expected to present documents to show the salaries paid to Kuwaiti employees and also abide by contracts signed in that regard. He declared the program will deduct any amount owed Kuwaiti employees from the companies' entitlements without prior notification or warning. He also said the department is ongoing with two projects on security supervision and food supplies in public schools for the next academic session. He indicated the department will implement the Council of Ministers' decision to oblige the companies benefiting from government contracts to employ Kuwaitis as security supervisors of projects they handle.
