UAE- Medical Education Symposium at DMC


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Dubai Medical College (DMC) organised its sixth Medical Education Symposium on Saturday, focusing on the recent strides in global medical education and clinical leadership. The symposium featured renowned medical educators and healthcare professionals from the region and across the world. It also featured informative student presentations and a panel discussion on 'Medical Education and its integration in the clinical setting'. Prof. Mohammed Galal El Din Ahmed, Dean of DMC, said: "The Medical Education Symposium offers a unique platform for internationally renowned speakers and experts to share their knowledge and facilitate discussion among educators and practitioners in the region. By organising the symposium annually, we have been able to address newer challenges in medical education while ensuring continued excellence." Speakers at the symposium included Prof Jane Dacre, Medical Director of the MRCP, Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK; Dr Syed Tanzeem Raza, Director of Medical Education, Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals in the UK; Prof John Rees of King's College London School of Medicine; and Prof Hossam Hamdy, Vice-Chancellor of Medical and Health Sciences Colleges at the University of Sharjah, UAE.
