Russia's Reserves of Gold and Foreign Currency Drop


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Russia's reserves of gold and foreign currencies dropped to USD 514.3 billion in 18 May compared to USD 518.8 billion in the 11th of the same month, Russian central bank announced. Russia has reached its highest level in this regard in August 2008, before the outbreak of the global financial crisis, when the reserves of gold and foreign currencies amounted to USD 598 billion. Russia occupies the third place worldwide in the size of national reserve of the gold and foreign currencies after China and Japan.
