Kuwait- Illegals, 'runaways', criminals arrested in massive dual raid 

(MENAFN - Arab Times) Officials from Interior Ministry carried out impromptu security campaigns against illegal residency at Abdullah Port and Fahaheel Industrial Area recently, during which 526 individuals were arrested and several stolen items were recovered.

The arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

High-ranking officials carried out the campaigns for six hours, which was launched at Abdullah Port early morning, followed by campaigns at Fahaheel Industrial Area.

During the campaign at Abdullah Port, officials arrested 356 individuals, out of whom some were involved in various cases and some were on domestic visa and had run away from their sponsors. Three women, who were reported as missing by their sponsors, were among those who were arrested.

The security teams raided two lots that stored containers and barrels filled with diesel, which are suspected to be stolen. Some of the vehicles, which were parked at one of the lot, were reported as stolen by the owners. They also discovered 18 cartons containing pills, which they suspect to be narcotic pills.

After the campaign at Abdullah Port, the security officials carried out the second campaign at Fahaheel Industrial Area where they arrested 170 individuals for illegal residency and referred them to the concerned authorities.

Several security sectors affiliated to the Interior Ministry participated in these campaigns.
