Iran discovers 90 tons of new gold reserves

(MENAFN) The Geological Survey of Iran's deputy director, Behrouz Borna, stated that during the last Iranian calendar year, the country found around 90 tons of new gold reserves, reported Tehran Times. Borna said that the new reserves are located in the province of Kordestan, west of Iran, and in Sistan-Baluchestan province, in the east of the country. He added that at the current time, total gold reserves in Iran, which holds 3 percent of the world's mineral reserves, grew to 320 metric tons. It is worth noting that in April, Borna said that the country discovered 3 new gold reserves with 16 tons of proven net gold deposits.
