(MENAFN Press) DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -May 21, 2012 - Hot on the heels of its recent four-year US 450 million additional spend plan in Middle East and North Africa (MENA), SAP is bringing together its thriving ecosystem on 30 May for a high-powered symposium geared towards making the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) businesses, institutions and governments run better.

Indicative of the MENA region's strategic value, the world's largest business software company will fly in its Co-CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe to deliver a keynote address to customers, industry experts and senior executives attending the annual SAP User Group “ Middle East & North Africa (SUG-MENA) conference.

Top of the combined SUG-MENA and SAP Forum agenda are the latest essential business technology trends and innovations likely to have a major impact on the region, with mobility, Big Data, in-memory technology, cloud and analytics in particular set to take center stage. Similar events are also planned in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The day will feature interactive, informative, collaborative panel discussions and breakout sessions led by SAP top brass and industry experts, who will clarify how technological innovation can be leveraged for on-going business value and greater operation efficiency. In addition, there will be a series of case studies delivered by SAP customers and the opportunity to take an in-depth look at future SAP applications with the potential to bolster growth strategies and create competitive advantage.

"SUG-MENA's ever-increasing scope and influence is a prominent testament to the region's status as a key strategic market for SAP," said Sam Alkharrat, Managing Director, SAP MENA
