UAE's Construction Tech wins USD47m Iraqi contracts


(MENAFN) UAE's Tech Group's vice-chairman, Ghaleb Kamel Jaber, said that the firm's unit, Construction Tech, has won around USD47 million worth of Iraqi construction deals, reported Khaleej Times. Jaber said that under the first deal, valued at USD45 million, the company will reconstruct the exteriors of the Central Bank of Iraq, overhaul the elevator and update the bank's IT systems. Moreover, under the the second deal, worth USD2.15 million, Construction Tech will supply and establish Royal Dutch Shell's main office building across a range of construction-related works. It is worth noting that since 2008, Iraq's investment commission has awarded infrastructure projects valued at USD32 billion, and at the current time, it is in negotiations with global firms to set up infrastructure projects valued at nearly USD100 billion.
