Yemen, WB Discuss Economic Issues


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Yemen's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed Al Saadi met here on Saturday with World Bank (WB) Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Langer Anderson, who is currently visiting Yemen. During the meeting, they reviewed the overall economic challenges faced by Yemen, and the Yemeni government efforts to overcome them . The Yemeni Minister on briefed the WB Official on the ongoing preparations for the Friends of Yemen and donors conferences, expressing the aspirations of the Yemeni government that the World Bank would play an active role in the mobilization of regional and international support for the success of these conference. For her part, the WB official Anderson stressed that the World Bank would continue to provide all aspects of support necessary to support the development paths and stability in Yemen, saying that the stability of Yemen is an integral part of the stability of the region. She confirmed the World Bank intention to participate actively in Friends of Yemen and donors conferences.
