UAE- Hamdan honours medical institutions


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, honoured 27 private and public medical institutions on Wednesday over obtaining international accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organisations. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has held a ceremony on this occasion, which was attended by Shaikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Mohammed Abdullah Al Gargawi, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Essam Al Humaidan, Dubai Attorney-General; Mattar Al Tayer, Board Chairman and Executive Director of the Road and Transport Authority (RAT); Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director-General of the Dubai Municipality; Qadi Al Murooshid, Director-General of the DHA; Sami Dhaen Al Qamzi, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economic Development; and a number of officials. Among the honoured were Rashid, Dubai and Latifa hospitals, Thalassaemia Centre, Dubai Airport Hospital and the Heart Section at the Rashid Hospital. All the honoured hospitals are under the DHA. Flanked by Al Murooshid, Shaikh Hamdan honoured the medical institutions which received the international accreditation. The Dubai Crown Prince said that the UAE puts human being on the top of its priorities through provisions of needs in accordance with the world class standards.
