Australia's NSW to lay off 750 RailCorp workers

(MENAFN) Australia's New South Wales (NSW) Transport Minister, Gladys Berejiklian, stated that the ministry will slash 750 middle management jobs in RailCorp, reported Xinhua News. Berejiklian added that the decision comes as the ministry plans to divide the company into 2 new organizations, the Sydney Trains and the NSW Trains. The minister said that it will also appoint a new management for RailCorp's cleaning services. It is worth noting that the job reductions represent nearly 20 percent of RailCorp's 4,000 middle management staff.
