UAE- NMC Health Jan-Apr revenues jump 18.4% 

(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi-based NMC Health's CEO, BR Shetty, stated that the company's revenues jumped 18.4 percent during the January-April period to USD166.4 million, compared with USD140.4 million in 2011's same period, reported Arabian Business.

Shetty said that revenues at the healthcare segment climbed 22.6 percent, reaching USD84.1 million, whereas those at the distribution division reached USD82.3 million, with an increase of 14.7 percent.

On the other hand, he noted that last month, the healthcare provider which runs general and specialized hospitals, pharmacies and medical centers, raised USD186.9 million in its London initial public offering (IPO), adding that the proceeds in addition to USD150 million credit facility will be used to fund the firm's expansion.

It is worth noting that NMC's expansion plans include the development of a maternity hospital in Abu Dhabi, scheduled to complete during 2012's second half, in addition to the establishment of a day patient medical centre and pharmacy at Dubai Investment Park.
