Chevron's Australian units to deliver gas to Japan's Tohoku


(MENAFN) Chevron Corp. announced that its units in Australia inked a contract with Apache Energy and Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co. to deliver gas to Japan's Tohoku Electric Power Co., reported AP. The company said that under the agreement, the three parties will transfer 1 million tons of natural gas liquids to the Japanese power utility on annual basis. It added that the amount will come from its operated Wheatstone natural gas project in Australia. It is worth noting that the time-span of the deal is 20 years.
